In 2016, Melanie Rose partnered with iconic Canadian comedian Mike MacDonald to envision a comedy fundraiser for Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside residents. Since that initial show, Heavy Mental Comedy has showcased and supported causes all across British Columbia.
